Bill is the founder of Rural Water Ventures, which year after year funds yet another important APLV project. Rural Water Ventures has now funded 17 rural water projects through APLV. 

Bill became involved with water and sanitation in Nicaragua back in 1987 and worked with Save the Children on projects for several years before becoming involved with APLV around 2000. After retirement from a long career which included development of third-world urban water systems, he focused all of his attention on Rural Water Ventures and APLV. Read more about Bill McQueeney

Gilles Corcos

Gilles is a Professor Emeritus in the Mechanical Engineering Department at UC Berkeley and one of the co-founders of Agua Para La Vida. He has written extensively about gravity flow drinking water systems including "Air in Water Pipes", published by APLV.  Read more about Gilles Corcos

Charlie Huizenga

Charlie is one of APLV's co-founders and was part of our very first project in 1987. He is an active board member and plays a role in most of APLV's activities, including fundraising, newsletters, training, design and project oversight. He has developed several software tools to assist in gravity flow system design. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and is a building energy efficiency researcher and Adjunct Professor in the Architecture Department at UC Berkeley.  He's also the CTO of a building efficiency startup in San Francisco.
